Today is the last day before the final. We just had a work day. We could just work on any projects that we were missing or we could finish out final project or finish our final website. I worked on The final project.
For the final project I went into a lot of detail about what my lesion plan was going to be like and I liked that because I think it is good practice to plan out future classes.

week 9 Wordpress
Today we worked on creating a website. You could have many types of websites, such as a lesion plan or a future website as a teacher pretty much anything.
I decided to go with the future teacher website. I had to put a home page and 3 other pages. On one of my pages I put like 4 or 5 links to other websites that had information about the filed trips our class would be taking so that was pretty fun.
You could use Wordpress or dream weaver. I tried both but I tended to like Word press more I just found it easier then Dream weaver.
In the future I will defiantly make a website for my class!

Week 8 Coding and websites
This week, we were talking about websites and coding. For the first hour we went to a website called hour of code. It was pretty intresting. You could basically play games that used logic and coding to figure out how to complete a goal. I played the frozen one and I got to make snowflakes so that was fun. I tried a few other ones like the angry bird/zombie/ice age games.
Then after that, we learned how to create a website. While doing this we learned how to use codes like html's. So far we created one website with a question and a link to the right answer, with a picture to go with the right answer.
I think learning how to make a website is important because then I can make one to put on my resume. Not only for that but I think it will be helpful for my student and their parents to understand what's going to happen in my class or events that are happening in class, or they can learn more about me.

week 7 Apps
Today we did three mini lesions. The first thing we did was to look up and app and decided how you would use it in a class room. I ended using two apps for reading and spelling. I tried out several types but two really stuck out because they both helped with reading and spelling.

Week 6 garage band
This week, we learned to use garage band. It was an updated version so we are only doing an audio with some music to blend in. Instead of using pictures, voice, and music. We were suppose to make a lesson with garage band. For my lesson I told a story. It is kind of a scary story so I put some scary music in it. My project is not complete yet, but I hope to finish it by tomorrow.
Also in class we went to a specific website and we learned how to tell if it was credible or not. So we went around the room saying why it was or was not and giving our explanation. If it was not we were told why it wasn't and how you can check for your class and how to teach kids how to look for a good website instead of one that could be making random information up.

Week 5 presenter
This week in class we did not really do an activity. We had a guess speaker come in who was a student at western at one point. He talked about a lot of diffrent technologies that could be used from story bird in the classroom to putting a website on your resume. It was kind of interesting and it did give me some ideas that I would like to use in the class. I really like this one website he showed us about how to create a quiz for my students so I could see if they were really understanding what I was teaching. Not only understanding but seeing what we need to work on in class.

Week 4 Google earth/ iPad
Today in class we did two activities. The first one was make a movies trailer on an iPad. I thought this would be good in class to get kids interested in a subject. My group did life in Africa and i thought that would be a perfect subject for kids in a geography class. The video would get them really excited and they would want to learn more. Or they could make a video about what they learned.
The second subject we learned is how to work google earth. We had to create five places to visit and take a tour of them. The tour included adding pictures and a website with information about the place. I would let my students use this to show about a subject they were learning about.
I would continue to use both applications but the iPad movie was my favorite and I would use it more often.
